Meet Our Team
Yolanda Fontanez- Coleman, Founder & CEO
Yolanda’s passion for educating children and inspiring them to achieve academic success was the driving force behind her decision to develop Team Tutor. An expert in her field, Yolanda has over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience.
It was during her tenure with the Philadelphia School District that Yolanda was first exposed to the wide-spread need for accessible one-on-one instruction. It has been Yolanda’s mission to offer the best personalized tutoring program throughout the Delaware Valley. She believes all children can learn and should be given the opportunity for academic success.
Yolanda received her bachelor’s degree at Moravian College, and completed her Master’s Degree in Education at Eastern University. She taught for 10 years with the School District of Philadelphia. She is also a dyslexia practitioner and is a certified Wilson Reading Specialist.

Jolene DeFusco, Student Services Specialist
Jolene DeFusco has been a proud member of Team Tutor since 2007. Jolene was originally hired as a Wilson Reading tutor. Upon joining as a tutor, Jolene was struck by the team approach designed to help each and every individual student. She was inspired by Yolanda Coleman’s expertise in the educational field as well as her genuine caring desire to help each and every student have the opportunity to reach their true academic potential. Jolene truly loves to tutor and cares deeply about her students’ successes. She knew Team Tutor was an agency that she wanted to be affiliated with. In the fall of 2016, Jolene was asked to work part time in the office at Team Tutor as a Student Services Specialist while still continuing to be a tutor.
Prior to working at Team Tutor, Jolene worked in various capacities, from preschool age through adulthood, educationally as well as in supportive areas with children and adults with disabilities. She has always worked full time while raising her three grown daughters, whom she is extremely proud of. Jolene very much enjoys spending time with her family, reading, learning new things and traveling, especially to the beach!
